Priority

Every payout is created with a priority, which sets how Zepto processes it:

PriorityOptimised forProcessing
normalThroughputIn batches, alongside other payouts
highLatencyIndividually, ahead of the batches

Normal

Make normal your default. Normal payouts are collected into batches and processed together, which gives the best throughput — a large run of payouts completes sooner as a whole — at the cost of a small processing delay on each payout.

That delay doesn't matter for most payments. Payroll runs, supplier payments, scheduled disbursements, and refunds all belong on normal.

High

High payouts are optimised for latency. Each one skips batching and is processed individually as soon as it is created, jumping ahead of any queued batches.

Reserve high for payouts that are genuinely time-critical — typically when someone is actively waiting on the funds, such as an instant withdrawal. Sending every payout as high gives up both the throughput of batching and the headroom that lets urgent payments jump the queue.
